Johnson Test Papers’ CA Syringe Filters are purpose built with features designed to bring the highest levels of performance and purity to your research. CA syringe filters are used for the filtration of volumes of up to 100ml. We incorporate a variety of membranes to offer separation and purification solutions for the majority of your laboratory needs. Johnson Test Papers’ CA Syringe Filters are suitable for the filtration of aqueous solutions and for applications requiring maximum sample recovery such as tissue culture preparation, sterile filtration and clarification of aqueous solutions and biological fluids, specimen solutions and protein and enzyme filtration. CA syringe filters combine consistently high flow rates, chemical and thermal stability with very low absorption characteristics. Cellulose acetate syringe filters exhibit very low protein binding, so they are suitable for protein recovery applications. The 0.22μm pore size CA membrane is especially suited for sterilising aqueous solution, buffers, sera and media. They are hydrophilic, making them functional with aqueous and alcoholic media although they have limited solvent resistance. CA syringe filters are also compatible with alcohol and oil. CA syringe filters can also be supplied with the option of a micro-glass fibre pre-filter.
