Johnson Test Papers’ PTFE Syringe Filters are purpose built with features designed to bring the highest levels of performance and purity to your research. We incorporate a variety of membranes to offer separation and purification solutions for the majority of the laboratory needs. This hydrophobic filter is used for quick, simple and reliable ultra-cleaning of small volumes and very suitable for air and gas particulate filtration.. PTFE is chemically stable and inert. It has excellent compatibility with aggressive solvents and acids. It exhibits low protein binding and is recommended for the filtration of non-aqueous samples e.g. HPLC solvent preparation and degassing to ensure column protection. Prior to filtering of aqueous samples, the membrane must be pre-wetted with a water-miscible organic solvent such as ethanol . They can also be autoclaved
